How it Works
- Apply. Fill out the application form. Providing thorough background information will speed up the process. Staff will discuss if you are eligible for Housing Support, to fully fund your stay.
- Pursuit Review. We will ask for more information if needed. If accepted, a reservation date will be determined. Move in dates can be arranged days – months ahead of time.
- Move in. The intake process is about 90 minutes. Intake includes a drug test (UA), applying for funding and an orientation. You’ll get a set of keys, bedding and be shown to your room.
- Settle in. You are home.
Three Funding Types
Housing Support (formerly GRH). Many clients are funded through Housing Support. Clients need a Professional Statement of Need (PSN) signed by a licensed professional to prove eligibility for funding. Pursuit staff cannot sign the PSN for clients. Pursuit staff will assist the client with all other paperwork required for funding.
Self-pay. Some clients pay for their board and lodging out-of-pocket. Pursuit is a pre-pay facility. Lodgers who stay long term pay one lump sum at the beginning of the month. Refunds are issued on a pro-rated per diem basis if a lodger moves out before nights paid for.
Earned Income
If you are working for a paycheck, you will pay on a sliding scale. You will always keep more than half of what you earn. We can give you a general idea of what you will pay but the county will set your budget when you report your income.
Unearned Income
SSI, SSDI, and unemployment are considered unearned income. You will keep personal needs money ($128) and will not pay more than the set Board and Lodge rate ($38.46/night or $1170/month as of July 2024).
Combination. Many people have some income and also receive Housing Support funding.
See the Housing Support Website for most up to date information on the Board and Lodge rate and personal needs money.
